Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing

Concentrated poverty is increasing, growing geographically, and starkly concentrated in communities of color. In many communities, segregation patterns persist.  Development patterns have a tremendous impact on who has access to quality housing, good schools, healthy food and jobs – but current plans for future investments often don’t adequately consider how future transportation, housing, economic, and other infrastructure investments may expand opportunity for some communities while leaving others behind.
